K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR,) the Chief Minister of Telangana, on the 19th of February, will announce 10 Cabinet ministers to expand the Telangana Government.
The ceremony is expected to begin around 11:30 A.M.
As of now, there are only two ministers in the Cabinet, KCR and Mohammad Mahmood Ali, the Home Minister of Telangana. On the 13th of December 2018, both the ministers were administered the oath of office by E.S.L. Narsimhan, the Governor of Telangana.
According to sources, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) members who will be announced as the Cabinet Ministers are A. Indrakaran Reddy, Etela Rajender, Koppula Eshwar, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, S. Niranjan Reddy, V. Srinivas Goud, Errabelli Dayakar Rao and C.H. Malla Reddy.
Out of the 10 decided ministers, Koppula Eshwar, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, S. Niranjan Reddy, V. Srinivas Goud, Errabelli Dayakar Rao and C.H. Malla Reddy are new ministers.
K.T. Rama Rao, the Working President of the TRS, and T. Harish Rao, a TRS member, were not included in this list of Cabinet Ministers, as the Party requires them to work for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
It is expected, T. Harish Rao’s name will be included in the second list of Cabinet ministers, scheduled to be announced after the Lok Sabha elections.
The Lok Sabha elections are scheduled between April and May 2019 and the major parties contesting are the Indian National Congress (INC) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)
