K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR,) the Chief Minister of Telangana and the President of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) will soon start touring states for the formation of the third party front.
However, an official announcement regarding Mr. Rao’s schedule will be made soon.
KCR, who is trying to form a third party against the Indian National Congress (INC) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) will meet regional parties across India to discuss an alliance.
KCR wants to make a third party as he wishes to see a BJP mukt (free) and INC mukt (free) nation. KCR believes the Country needs a political party which can fulfil all the aspirations of the Nation and help the Nation develop better.
According to KCR, both the INC and the BJP are not capable of developing the Country in terms of economy and agriculture.
Mr. Rao, who is confident about winning the Lok Sabha elections, said, the Party will win 16 out of the 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana and will approach smaller parties in India to form a third front.
Telangana, on the 11th of April, contested the Lok Sabha elections for a total of 17 seats.
The TRS also won the Telangana Assembly elections, which took place on the 7th of December, with a majority of 88 seats.
Before the Assembly elections, KCR held several meetings with Mamata Banerjee, the CM of West Bengal and the President of the Trinamool Congress (TMC,) regarding the third front idea. He also met Naveen Patnaik, the CM of Odisha, Mayawati Das and Akhilesh Yadav of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and the Samajwadi Party (SP) respectively.
Mr. Rao will resume his efforts again and is expected to form an alliance with the parties before the results of the Lok Sabha elections are declared.
The results of the Lok Sabha elections will be announced on the 23rd of May 2019.
