The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) exited the BJP led National Democratic Alliance (NDA.) The TDP said the Center failed to keep its promises made after bifurcation.

The party’s decision making committee announced the withdrawal from the alliance on Friday. The TDP also plans to move a no confidence motion against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Government. Earlier, AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said the motion would be a last resort.

A senior TDP leader stated the MPs would meet the Secretary General of the Lok Sabha to initiate the motion process. The TDP has had a rocky relationship with the BJP. The TDP has been demanding a Special Status for their State to develop. But the ruling party denied the status. Adding the Government had supplied money with no positive development by the TDP.
