The Telangana Parents Association (TPA,) on the 23rd of April, demanded a judicial enquiry into the goof up regarding the Intermediate results of the 1st and 2nd year exams of 2019.

Recently, on the 18th of April, the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE,) on the 18th of April, declared the Intermediate (Inter) results for 2019. However, after two days, the students and their parents alleged the TSBIE of evaluating the papers inefficiently. Due to the incorrect evaluation, approximately 6 students committed suicide.

The students who appeared for the exams are protesting against the TSBIE and demanding a re evaluation.

The TPA, the Students Federation of India (SFI) and the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) are a few associations supporting the students.

The TPA, on the 23rd of April, moved the matter to the State Government, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and asked for a judicial enquiry regarding the same.

The association asked K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana and K.T. Rama Rao, the Working President of the TRS, to take strict action against the TSBIE.

The TPA alleged the TSBIE of playing with the careers of approximately 9 lakh students who appeared for the exams.

The parents of the students also asked the State Government to release the marks of the students with grades.

According to the TSBIE website, a total of 59.9 % and 65 % of students passed Inter 1st and 2nd year respectively.

The protestors also demanded the resignation of Dr. A. Ashok, the Director of the TSBIE, for the irregularities and irresponsibility in the results of Intermediate Exams 2019.

Stay tuned for further updates.
