Andhra Pradesh Covid-19 Cases Rise Rapidly East Godavari Area To Be Hotspot For Spread

Andhra Pradesh is reporting a massive increase in the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases.

In July, the single day spike reached a minimum of 7,000 per day cases.   The State is one the edge to complete 1 lakh cases soon.

East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh, with a few coastal towns of Kakinada and Rajamundhry as its main urban centres for the spread of the deadly virus.

These areas have now become possible centres in Tier -II cities. East Godavari is the district with the highest number of COVID-19 infections in the State. 

The top districts of Andhra Pradesh with the highest number of the active Novel Coronavirus cases are East Godavari 9,041 with cases, followed by Kurnool (5,373,) West Godavari (5,168)  Visakhapatnam (5,065,) Guntur (4,971,)  Anantapur (4,714) and Chittoor (3, 237.) 

On the 27th of July, Andhra Pradesh reported 7,627 cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 

The Novel Coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh is increasing massively with a minimum 7,000 plus cases. 

According to the Health Department of Andhra Pradesh, in the last 24 hours, 47,645 samples were tested for COVID-19 infection.

Of the total 7,627 cases, Kurnool district recorded the highest number of 1,213 positive cases, followed by 1,095 in East Godavari, 859 in West Godavari. Anantapur 734, Chittoor 573, Guntur 547, Kadapa 396, Krishna 332, Nellore 329, Prakasam 242, Srikakulam 276, Vizianagaram 247 and Visakhapatnam 784.

In the past 24 hours, 3041 people have been discharged with perfect health and 56 have died from the virus. 

With these updates, Andhra Pradesh the State Health department confirmed a total of 96,298 cases of the Novel Coronavirus. Of the total 48,956 are active cases, 46,301 are recovered/discharged cases and 1,041 are deceased cases.

In addition, the mortality rate of COVID-19 in Andhra Pradesh is 1.08% , the average growth rate of the infection is now 11.32 % from the previous 9 %. The recovery rate now is reduced to 48.08 % from the previous 48.79%.

Till the 27th of July, Andhra Pradesh conducted a total of 16,43,319 tests for the Novel Coronavirus.

The total population of the State as per 2019 data is 5,22,21,000.
