The Andhra Pradesh Government is all set to change food menu at the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 isolation centres.

With the increased cases of the Novel Coronavirus infection, the State Government decided to include a few food items in the food menu given to COVID-19 patients.

In regard to this, the State Government, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party initiated a new drive and improved facilities at quarantine centers.

M. T. Krishna Babu, the State Coordinator of the COVID-19 control and situation in Andhra Pradesh, said, “Based on the feedback given by a third-party survey, the government has decided to change the menu for Covid patients and for those in quarantine or isolation Centres.”

He further added, “The diet has been designed keeping in mind the protein requirement of the patients. The menu will be displayed at all centres. Towards this initiative, the state is spending up to Rs 500 per person on a single day. We are also deploying more sanitary workers to keep the Covid centres clean.”

In addition, on the 13th of July, the Andhra Pradesh Government issued a set of new quarantine guidelines for COVID-19.

In the issued guidelines, the State Government labelled Telangana, Karnataka as ‘high-risk’ places. 

As many as 661 people who came from Telangana and 81 from Karnataka to AP after Unlock 1.0 tested positive for coronavirus, adding to the 31,103 cases registered in the state so far.
