On the 31st of May, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) approved Anandaiah’s Ayurvedic medicine based on the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) report. As of now, the Government has given clearance for the P, L and F medicines made by Anandaiah, while it prevented him from distributing the medicine K, which is popularly known as eye drops fo COVID-19 patients. A final decision regarding the K drug of Anandaiah’s Ayurvedic medicine would be taken in 2 to 3 weeks. Until then, the distribution of K drug, an eye dropper has been halted.

As per the State Government, there are no harmful substances in Anandaiah’s medicine. In addition, the YSRCP Government said, the Ayurvedic medicine of Anandaiah would be given an addition to the prescribed allopathy medicines for the treatment of the Wuhan virus infection. With this, a Novel Coronavirus patient would have to take allopathy as well as Ayurvedic medicine for the deadly virus.

The Andhra Pradesh Government also appealed not to stop taking the regular medication on the grounds that they are using Anandaiah’s herbal medicine. The appeal to continue ground allopathy medication was based on the fact that the Ayurvedic medicine has no evidence of curing the Novel Coronavirus.

Since there is no harm in taking the Ayurvedic medication, people willing to take Anandaiah’s medicine could take the medicines. The Government has directed patients to avoid coming to Krishnapatnam to take the medicine. Instead, relatives or family members can pick up the medication to avoid COVID-19 outbreak or spread in the area.

The Government has also strictly ordered the distributors to ensure all the COVID-19 protocols are being followed.
