Bollywood actor and Punjab’s COVID-19 vaccination drive ambassador Sonu Sood tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
On the 17th of April, Sonu Sood took to his social media account and confirmed being COVID-19 positive. His post read, “Covid – positive. Mood and spirit – super positive. Hi everyone, this is to inform you that I have tested positive this morning for COVID-19. As a part of precautions, I have already quarantined myself and taking utmost care. But don’t worry this gives me ample time to solve your problems. Remember I am always there for you all.”
After he posted the news of being COVID-19 on Instagram, fans and Wellwishers poured speedy recovery messages.
Celebrities like Sunil Shetty, Farah Khan also commented on his post for his speedy recovery.
Since the 2020 nationwide lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Sonu Sood has been in headlines for his good works. He has been hailed as a hero on social media because of his efforts for migrant workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. He arranged accommodation for thousands of migrant workers and sent the stranded migrants to their home villages during and after the lockdown in 2020. He also has been helping those who have been badly affected by the pandemic financially. He recently even delivered oxygen cylinder to a family in Indore.
Professionally, Sonu Sood is an actor and has featured in a number of Hindi, Telugu and Tamil films. He started his acting career with his debut Tamil film Kallazhagar in 1999.
Later, in 2002 he entered the world of Bollywood with the film Shaheed-E-Azam. He has mostly played negative roles in his films.
Sonu Sood is best-known for his performances in movies like Dabangg, Yuva, Athadu, Jodhaa Akbar, Dookudu, Shootout At Wadala, Happy New Year and Simmba.
