On the 1st of May, hours after being removed as the Telangana Health Minister, Eatala Rajender expressed gratitude to the State Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.
During the press meet, Eatala Rajender said, series of events between the 30th of April and the 1st of April, was heartbreaking for him. He thanked Chief Minister KCR and said, these events, ordering a probe against him in an alleged land grabbing case, stripping him off from Health Ministry is just a plan to defame him. He said, “The CM may want to give better services to the people and he has the power to take over any portfolio. He has control on all subjects. I would always help the people personally regardless of the ministerial post,”
When asked about his reaction towards the allegations and probe, he said, “I did not make any attempt to talk to the CM so far. I will respond as soon as the full report of the inquiry is received.”
He indirectly warned that those who have plotted against him would pay a heavy price in the future. He concluded the press conference with, “Entire Telangana society is standing with me.”
Meanwhile, after removing Eatala Rajender as State Health Minister, KCR directed the Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and Principal Secretary of Telangana Rajasekhar Reddy to monitor COVID-19 situation in Telangana.
