The Indian National Congress (INC) leader Rahul Gandhi launched a medical advisory helpline. On the 1st of May, the former INC President released the helpline called “Hello Doctor” To help the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 patients.
The initiative was taken by the All India Congress Committee (AICC) at a time when India is witnessing a dangerous second wave of the COVID-19 infection.
Rahul Gandhi took to his Twitter handle and shared a tweet with details of the newly launched helpline. He said, “We have launched ‘Hello Doctor’ a medical advisory helpline. Please call +919983836838 for medical advice.”
He also appealed to doctors to enroll themselves to assist people during the COVID-19 pandemic. In regard to this, Rahul Gandhi even attached a Google form link for self initiated entries.
Rahul Gandhi said, “Dear doctors and mental health professionals, we need your help. Please enroll on link.” The doctors have been provided with two options – ‘COVID consultation’ and ‘Mental Health Consultation’ – to enroll themselves in.
Mr. Rahul Gandhi concluded the tweet with, “India needs to stand together and help our people.”
Rahul Gandhi recently on the 20th of April, tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 infection.
Meanwhile, on the 1st of May, India reported 4,01,993 new cases with 3,523 new fatalities, taking the total cases to 19,164,969. Of which active cases to 32,68,710 and death cases to 2,11,853 till date.
