On the 20th of January, India’s Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 tally crossed 10,595,660 cases.
The tally surged 10.59 million cases with 13,823 new COVID-19 cases. In the past 24 hours, the Nation recorded 13,823 positive cases, 16,988 recoveries and 162 fatalities.
The data was confirmed by the Union Health Ministry on the morning of the 20th of January.
According to the newly updated data, India has 10,595,660 positive cases, of which 1,97,201 are active cases, 1,52,718 are deceased cases and 10,245,741 are recovered/discharged cases.
The updated data is available on the official website of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW.)
In addition, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) confirmed to conduct 188,566,947 samples tested till date including 7,64,120 samples tested on the 19th of January.
With this, India is the second worst COVID-19 hit Nation with maximum numbers of positive cases.
However, India has an active COVID-19 caseload percentage less than 2%, recovery rate exceeded 97 % and fatality rate is below 1.47%.
Meanwhile, globally, the Novel Coronavirus cases crossed 96 millions and death cases crossed 2 millions till date.
