On the 3rd of June, India reported 1,34,154 fresh cases of the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.)
After reporting a dip in the COVID-19 cases, below 1.30 lakh cases, the nation registered a rise in COVID-19 cases on Thursday. In addition to 1,34,154 new cases, India reported 2,11,449 recovered/discharged cases and 2,887 deaths.
The updated figures of COVID-19 cases were confirmed by the Union Health Ministry on the morning of the 3rd of June. The updated data is available on the official website of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW.)
In addition, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has confirmed to have conducted 21,59,873 sample tests for the Wuhan virus. With this, a total of 35,37,82,648 tests have been conducted for the deadly virus in India till date.
Meanwhile, as per the MoHFW data, India has 2,84,41,986 positive cases for the Wuhan virus, of which 17,13,413 are active cases, 2,63,90,584 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,37,989 are deceased cases.
Adding to it, the Union Health Ministry confirmed 22,10,43,693 people have been vaccinated so far, including 24,26,265 who were administered vaccines in the last 24 hours.
