India Reports 34,403 New COVID-19 Cases In 24 Hours, Recovery Rate At 97.65 Percent

On the 17th of September, India saw a slight rise in the single day cases of the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.)

According to the Union Health Ministry, the nation reported 34,403 new COVID-19 infections. Besides the 34,403 new cases, India registered 37,950 recoveries and 320 deaths in the past 24 hours.

It is to be noted, while the active cases of the Novel Coronavirus have further declined by 8,164, and the single day cases increased by 3,000. As of now, Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh are the only states with the highest number of the Wuhan virus cases.

In the past 24 hours, Kerala reported the maximum number of COVID-19 cases with 17,681 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 3,783 new cases.

With this, the Union Health Ministry of India confirmed 3,33,81,728 positive cases, of which 3,25,98,424 are recovered/discharged cases, 3,39,056 are active cases and 4,44,248 are deceased cases.

In addition, the Indian Council Medical Research (ICMR) confirmed 54,92,29,149 tests conducted, including 15,27,420 in the past 24 hours.

Now, with the aforementioned COVID-19 data, India has 1.02 % active cases rate, 97.65 % recovery rate and 1.33 % fatality rate.

Meanwhile, the cumulative doses administered in the country so far under the vaccination drive have exceeded 77.24 crore till date.
