India Reports 83,809 New Cases Of Novel Coronavirus With Highest Recovery In World

Rise in the cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 continues in India. 

On the 15th of September, India recorded a total of 83,809 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total on the edge of 50 lakhs.

According to the Union Health Ministry, India has 49,30,236 positive cases of COVID-19. Of the total cases, 9,90,061 near to 1 million are active cases and 38,59,399 near to 4 million are recovered or discharged cases.

Besides this, with 1,054 new fatalities in the past 24 hours, the death cases due to the Coronavirus infection is at 80,776.

Despite such a massive rise in the Novel Coronavirus cases, the recovery rate and highest number of recoveries in the world is in India.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) data and Johns Hopkins University data, India has seen 37,80,107 patients recover from COVID-19, which is more than Brazil and the United States of America (U.S.A.,) recovery count at 37,23,206 and 24,51,406 respectively, till date.

Though India is the second Worst COVID-19 hit nation, it is the nation with maximum numbers of recoveries. The recovery rate of India reached 78 %.

The United States of America (U.S.A.,) is the first worst COVID-19 hit nation with nearly 6 million cases.

In addition, speaking about the Coronavirus situation in India, the Union Health Ministry said nearly 60 % of the active Covid-19 cases are concentrated in five states. The five states are Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

The Union Home Ministry released a statement which read,“India’s journey of a fast-growing recovery rate has crossed a milestone on Monday. On a continuous upward trajectory, the recovery rate has touched 78 % reflecting the increasing number of high recoveries per day.”

During the 14th of September’s Parliament session, the Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan said the development of vaccines is underway. He added more than 30 candidates supported which are in different stages of development and trials.
