On the 19th of September, India’s Novel Coronavirus ot COVID-19 tally jumped to 5,308,014 cases.
On the 19th of September, the Union Health Department updated new 93,337 COVID-19 cases. The updated figure is available on the official website of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoFHW.)
According to the MoHFW data, the nation registered r 93,337 cases in a day. The death toll reached 85, 619 with 1,247 people succumbed to the disease.
While the active cases stood at 1,013,964, recovered or discharged cases stood at 48,08,432.
The Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) also confirmed 8,81,911 tests of the Novel Coronavirus in the past 24 hours, taking the total to 6,24,54,254 till date.
According to the Union Health Ministry, only 5 states of India reported atleast 60% cases of Novel Coronavirus.
The top five states with highest number of cases are Maharashtra (11, 67,496,) Andhra Pradesh (6, 09,558,) Tamil Nadu (5, 30,908,) Karnataka (5,02, 982) and Uttar Pradesh (3, 42,788.)
However, despite every day spike in the cases, the recovery rate from COVID-19 in India is more than 78% and mortality rate is less than 1.60%.
