JanaSena President Pawan Kalyan Tests COVID-19 Positive

Tollywood superstar turned politician Pawan Kalyan tested positive for the deadly Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 infection. 

On the 16th of April, the President of the JanaSena Party confirmed being positive and is being treated at a private hospital in Hyderabad, Telangana. His brother Chiranjeevi and nephew Ram Charan are making the necessary arrangements for his treatment. In addition, a medical team from Apollo Hospital has examined Pawan Kalyan and given him all medications to reduce fever and nausea in the lungs. Dr. T. Suman, a cardiologist from Khammam also came to Hyderabad to treat Pawan Kalyan. In addition all the necessary tests were conducted.

A source close to Pawan Kalyan said, “He was given antiviral drugs as he has suffered infection In lungs. He was also provided oxygen support (sic.)”

Pawan Kalyan was in self isolation since the 11th of April, after several of his close people tested positive for the infection. Recently, he even complained of chest congestion and consulted a private doctor in Hyderabad. After having symptoms of COVID-19, Mr. Pawan Kalyan got a COVID-19 test and the results were positive.

Speaking about his political activities, the JanaSena President was last seen in Tirupati while participating in the Padayatra on the 3rd of April.

On the cinema work front, Pawan Kalyan was last seen in Vakeel Saab, directed by Venu Sriram, which is successfully running in theatres. Vakeel Saab is the official Telugu remake of Bollywood blockbuster Pink. The film released in theatres on the 9th of April and is setting the box office on fire.
