K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, on the 11th of January, conducted a high level meeting and took crucial decisions regarding schools.
Due to the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19, schools and colleges remained shut since March 2020.
In regard to this, the Telangana CM instructed the officials to take up all the necessary arrangements to reopen the schools for Class 9 and above from the 1st of February.
Mr. Roa said the same would be applicable to all the private schools in the State.
During the meeting at Pragati Bhavan, Mr. Rao also directed the officials to make arrangements for the COVID-19 vaccine distribution in the State, scheduled to begin from the 16th of January.
He also instructed the revenue officials to resolve all the issues related to the revenue department and asked them to complete all the necessary changes and additions to the Dharani portal within a week.
The meeting came days ahead of the nationwide roll out of the COVID-19 vaccine. All the district collectors and State ministers attended the meeting.
