PM Modi Conducts Review Meeting To Discuss Coronavirus Situation In India

On the 11th of July, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reviewed the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 situation in India. 

The review meeting was attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Health Minister Dr. Harsha Vardhan, a NITI Aayog member, Cabinet Secretary and other senior officials of the Government of India.

During the meeting, Mr. Modi inquired about the situation in different parts of the Country and the prevention of different states regarding the COVID-19 infection.

Mr. Modi also urged the public to recognize and enforce the need for personal hygiene and social distancing in all the public places in India. He advised people to be aware of COVID-19 symptoms and ensure to follow the guidelines of the Coronavirus prevention.

PM Modi lauded the efforts of central, state and local authorities in curbing the spread of the Novel Coronavirus pandemic, especially in Delhi.

The PM of India also directed other state governments to follow a similar approach in controlling the virus like Delhi.

In addition, Mr. Modi highlighted the successful implementation of Corona Surveillance and home based care in Ahmedabad by Dhanwantri Rath.

He suggested that the policy could be adopted in other areas as well. PM Modi has also directed officials to provide real-time national level monitoring and guidance to all affected states and corporations where coronavirus positive cases are in high numbers.

Meanwhile, as of 7:00 P. M., India has a total of 8,30,763 positive cases of the Novel Coronavirus. Of the total, 2,85,498 are active cases, 5,22,631 recovered/discharged and 22,255 are deceased.
