In Telangana, forty two students of a gurukul school tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) infection.
On the 29th of November, Monday, students of gurukul school in Muthangi of Patancheru mandal in Sangareddy district, tested positive for the deadly virus.
According to sources, the samples of 291 students and 27 staff members showing COVID-19 symptoms were taken on the 27th of November, Saturday. Of the total, 43 people including 42 students and 1 staff tested COVID-19 positive. As of now, the collected samples have been sent to genome sequencing in Hyderabad and the students are under mandatory quarantine in the hostels and are in stable condition.
This is the second incident in the past one week, where students tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.) Recently, on the 23rd of November, as many as 29 students of a Telangana Government run residential school tested positive for the deadly Wuhan virus (COVID-19.)
Despite the low number of COVID-19 cases (below 200) in Telangana, the rising number of the Wuhan virus cases amongst students of State run school created panic. The TRS Government and concerned department asked the district official to ensure strict impose of COVID-19 appropriate behavior and rules to combat the spread of the virus.
