Telangana is reporting an everyday spike in the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases. From the previous 900 cases, the State’s single day spike surged 1,000 fresh cases. This is the first time in 2021, the State reported more than 1,000 cases of the Novel Coronavirus.
In the past 24 hours, as many as 1,078 fresh cases were reported. Of the total 1,078 cases, the highest number of cases were from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) with 283 positive cases, followed by 113 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 104 from Rangareddy, 46 from Sangareddy, 40 from Nirmal, 34 from Karimnagar, 33 from Nalgonda, 27 from Warangal Urban, 25 from Adilabad, 24 from Mahabubnagar, 23 from Kamareddy, 20 from Khammam, 15 from Rajanna Sircilla, 14 from Siddipet, 13 from Suryapet, 12 each from Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Medak, 11 from Peddapalli, 10 each from Vikarabad and Wanaparthy, 8 each from Warangal Rural, Jangaon and Jogulamba Gadwal, 7 from Narayanpet, 6 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 2 from Komarambheem Asifabad and 1 from Mulugu.
Besides 1,078 new cases, the State reported 6 deaths and 331 recovered/discharged cases.
The aforementioned data was updated through a media bulletin released by the Telangana Health Department. On the night of the 2nd of April, the sheet was updated.
As per the sheet, Telangana has 3,10,819 positive cases, of which 1,712 are deceased cases, 6,900 are active cases and 3,02,207 are recovered/discharged cases. Meanwhile, the Telangana Health Department conducted as many as 59,705 COVID-19 tests, of which reports of another 2,129 samples were awaited.
So far, a total of 1,03,29,954 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in the State.
In addition, Telangana has a 97 % recovery rate and 0.55 % fatality rate of COVID-19.
