The Telangana Medical department, on the night of the 11th of August, released a media bulletin regarding the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases.
According to the Telangana Health Department’s bulletin, 1,897 new cases with 9 new fatalities of the COVID-19 infection.
Of the total 1,897 cases, 21 were from Adilabad, 44 from Bhadradri, 479 from areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation ( GHMC.)

Till the 12th of August, this is the 12th consecutive day with a spike with more than 1,000 cases.
On the morning of the 10th of August, 1,256 cases were registered in a day and on the 11th of August, the single day spike was 1,896.
On the 12th of August, with 1,897 new cases, the total reached 84,544 cases. With 9 new fatalities, the total stands at 654. In addition, with 1,920 numbers, total recovered cases reported till date are 61,294.
With these updates, Telangana has 84,544 positive cases, of which 22,596 are active cases, 61,294 are recovered/discharged cases and 645 deceased.
Out of the 22,596 patients, 15,534 patients are under home isolation and 7,062 are in institutional care.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Health authorities conducted 22,972 tests till the night of the 11th of August.
Of the total 22,972 tests, COVID-19 results of 1,221 samples are pending.
So far, 6,65,847 samples have been tested for the Novel Coronavirus infection in Telangana.
With the everyday spike in the Novel Coronavirus cases, the recovery rate in Telangana is now 72.49 % from the previous 71.30%.
In addition, mortality rate is 0.80% and growth rate to 2.80 %.
