On Wednesday, the 24th of November, Telangana reported 156 new cases of the Wuhan virus(COVID-19.) Besides 156 new cases, the State witnessed 1 death and 155 recoveries.
The new cases were confirmed by conducting 34,764 sample tests for the COVID-19 infection. The Telangana State Health Department conducted the fewer number of COVID-19 tests, compared to the usual 40,000 to 42,000 tests. With the tests conducted in the past 24 hours, the State Health Department conducted 2.83 crores (2,83,83,614) COVID-19 tests till date.
The aforementioned data was confirmed through a health bulletin, released by the Telangana Health Department, on a regular basis. The media bulletin of the State Health Department which is being released in the evenings regularly, updates about the COVID-19 situation in Telangana.
According to the COVID-19 data, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) is the only area, which reports the highest number of cases. Yesterday the GHMC limit reported 55 new COVID-19 cases. Other districts which reported cases in double digits are: Rangareddy (14,) Warangal Urban (12,) and Medchal Malkajgiri (10.) Of the total 33 districts, majority of regions reported cases below 10.
With this, Telangana now has 6,75,001 positive cases, of which 3,533 are active cases, 6,67,483 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,985 are deceased.
The recovery rate of Telangana is at 99% and the fatality rate of COVID-19 is at 0.59 %.
