On Friday, the 3rd of December, Telangana reported 195 new cases of the Wuhan virus (COVID-19.) Besides the new cases, the State witnessed 2 deaths and 153 recoveries. After reporting a rise in recoveries and new cases below 150, Telangana COVID-19 cases are rising whereas recoveries are decreasing.
The new cases were confirmed by conducting sample tests for the COVID-19 infection. The Telangana State Health Department conducted more than 40,000 COVID-19 tests on Wednesday, the 1st of December, which was reduced today.
With the tests conducted in the past 24 hours, the State Health Department conducted 2.86 crores (2,86,98,967) Wuhan virus tests till date.
The aforementioned data was confirmed through a health bulletin, released by the Telangana Health Department, on a regular basis. The media bulletin of the State Health Department which is being released in the evenings regularly, updates about the COVID-19 situation in Telangana.
According to the COVID-19 data, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) is the only area, which reports the highest number of cases. Yesterday the GHMC limit reported 82 new COVID-19 cases. Of the total 33 districts, the majority of regions reported cases below 10 whereas, few regions reported zero cases.
With this, Telangana now has 6,76,574 positive cases, of which 3,723 are active cases, 6,68,854 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,997 are deceased.
The recovery rate of Telangana is at 98.88 % and the fatality rate of the Wuhan virus is at 0.59 percent.
