The Telangana Health Department confirmed 331 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Of the total new cases, the highest– 61 cases were from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) followed by Medchal Malkajgiri with 28 cases, 25 from Karimnagar, 21 from Rangareddy and 17 from Warangal Urban.
The remaining cases were 12 each from Bhadradri Kothagudem and Mancherial, 11 each from Nalgonda and Sangareddy, 10 each from Khammam and Peddapalli, 9 each from Rajanna Sircilla, Siddipet and Nizamabad, 8 each from Suryapet, Medak and Jangaon, 7 from Vikarabad, 6 each from Yadadri Bhongir, Warangal Rural and Adilabad, 4 each from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar and Mulugu, 3 each from Komarambheem Asifabad, Wanaparthy, 2 each from Mahabubabad and Nagarkurnool and 1 each from Nirmal and Narayanpet.
According to the Telangana media bulletin released on the night of the 12th of January, the State recorded 331new positive cases, 394 recoveries/discharges and 3 deaths.
With this, the State has 2,90,640 positive cases, of which 2,84,611 are recovered/discharged cases, 4,458 active cases and 1,571 deceased.
The cases reported in the past 24 hours were from 38,192 samples tested for the Novel Coronavirus infection.
Of the 38,192 samples, 331 tested positive and results of 571 are awaited.
Meanwhile, Telangana is one of the Indian states with the COVID-19 recovery rate at 97.92 % and fatality rate at 0.54 %.
