Telangana Crosses 30,000 Mark, 1,410 Covid-19 Cases In 24 Hours

Telangana’s rise in the Novel Coronavirus cases is in continuation with another single day spike.

In the past 24 hours, the State recorded 1,410 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus.

Of the total 1,410 cases, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) continues to see the highest spike with 918 cases. Other districts with spike in the  Coronavirus cases are Rangareddy district (125,) Medchal (67,) Sangareddy (79,) Warangal Urban (34,) Karimnagar (32,) Kothagudem (23,) Nizamabad (18,) Nalgonda (21,) Medak (17,) Adilabad (1,) Mulugu (1,) Siddipet (1) Peddapalli (1) and Jagatiyal (1.)

With this, the State has a total of 30,946 cases of the Novel Coronavirus.

Out of the total, 12,423 are active cases, 18,192 are discharged/cured cases and 331 deceased. 

The figures of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases were confirmed by the State Health department through a media bulletin.

According to the released bulletin, The state tested 5,954 samples over the last 24 hours, taking the total to 1,40,755 samples till the 10th of July. 

Updating the citizens about the bed facilities at  hospitals, the media bulletin reported a total of 17,081 beds, with over 3,500 being oxygen beds and more than 1,600 intensive care unit (ICU) beds.  Of the total, 15,529 beds are vacant and only 1,552 are occupied in Telangana. 

Meanwhile, the mortality rate of COVID-19 in Telangana is 1.07 %, average rate of growth is 7 % and rate of recovery is 58.79%.
