Telangana DGP Takes Second Dose Of COVID-19 Vaccine

The Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) Mahender Reddy got a second dose of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 vaccine.  On the 6th of March, DGP Reddy took the vaccine at Amberpet urban health centre in the presence of the medical officer Geetha Rani.

The police officials, staff and the DGP spoke to the medical and health officials and inquired about the vaccine. Mahender Reddy got his first dose of the COVID-19 shot at Tilaknagar urban health centre on the 6th of February.

At present, the second phase of COVID-19 vaccination drive is being conducted in Telangana. Vaccine will be administered to the people above 60 years of age and individuals between 45 and 59 will be given priority.

Meanwhile, the Telangana Government is smoothly conducting the COVID-19 vaccination drive. The drive which started from the 16th of January, is now in the second phase and administering doses of two India made vaccines to police personnel.

The first phase of COVID-19 vaccine started from 16th of January and ended on the 5th of February.

In the first phase, more than 3.5 lakh healthcare workers were given the two made in India COVID-19 vaccine doses.

In the second phase of the vaccination drive, over 10 crore people in the country will be covered. So far, more than 1.50 crore received the vaccine.
