The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government is mulling to implement the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) pattern in the State Board.
In order to conduct the 2022 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams in Telangana, the State Government is thinking of having the CBSE policy. In regard to this, the State Council for Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and the SSC Board are discussing the implementation of the CBSE policy in Telangana, with a few changes with the pattern.
As per the CBSE policy for the SSC examination (2021-2022) the Central Board decided to divide the academic year into two terms, Term I and Term II.
With this, the SSC examination would be held twice in a year, one is the multiple choice questions for half syllabus in November or December and the second phase examination would be conducted for the remaining half syllabus, in theory format. The decision of the Central Government to divide the term was in the wake of the ongoing Wuhan virus (Novel Coronavirus.) Due to the ongoing pandemic, students and the education system of India is suffering a lot.
However, a final decision would be taken after the approval of K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana. In regard to this, the State Government is likely to hold a review meeting with the Telangana Education Department led by Indra Sabitha Reddy, the Education Minister of Telangana and other officials.
