Telangana Governor Asks For COVID-19 Vaccination Awareness Campaign Amid Ongoing Drive

The Telangana Governor Ms. Tamilisai Soundararajan urged people of Telangana to get the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 vaccination. 

On the 3rd of March, Ms. Soundararajan asked the Telangana Government to intensify the vaccination drive awareness campaign. She asked these campaigners to motivate all the eligible people to get the Novel Coronavirus vaccination .

She directed the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Telangana branch, to coordinate with all the district units and conduct a massive campaign. With these campaigns, people of Telangana would know about the vaccination and would take the made in India vaccines.

Ms. Soundararajan said, “The country is presently witnessing the world’s largest vaccination drive. Our country has emerged self reliant in vaccine development, production, supply, and vaccination. It is a great opportunity for all the eligible to get vaccinated,”

The announcement was made when Ms. Soundararajan was reviewing the developments in the State. The review meeting with the officials of the Raj Bhavan was held at Raj Niwas in Pudducherry. Besides being the Governor of Telangana, Ms. Tamilisai Soundararajan has additional charge as the Lieutenant Governor.

Ms. Tamilisai also said, “We (Raj Bhavan staff) must be role models to others. Ensure that all the eligible staff members are vaccinated,” she directed.

Meanwhile, the Telangana Government is in the third phase of the Novel Coronavirus drive.

The nationwide COVID-19 phase two drive started on the 1st of March and aims to vaccinate close to 27 crore people of India.
