On the night of the 28th of September, the Telangana Health Department releases a media bulletin and updated about the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 situation.
According to the released bulletin, Telangana recorded 2,072 new COVID-19 infections and 9 fatalities.
Of the total 2,072 new cases, 19 were from Adilabad, 85 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 283 from areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) 43 from Jagtial, 28 from Jangaon, 27 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 21 from Jogulamba Gadwal.
The remaining cases were 44 from Kamareddy, 109 from Karimnagar, 92 from Khammam, 24 from Komaram Bheem Asifabad, 44 from Mahabubnagar, 60 from Mahabubabad, 36 from Mancherial, 25 from Medak, 160 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 23 from Mulugu, 34 from Nagarkurnool, 139 from Nalgonda, 16 from Narayanpet, 26 from Nirmal, 72 from Nizamabad, 49 from Peddapalli, 53 from Siricilla, 161 from Rangareddy, 32 from Sangareddy, 78 from Siddipet, 72 from Suryapet, 17 from Vikarabad, 41 from Wanaparthy, 33 from Warangal Rural, 85 from Warangal Urban and 41 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 recoveries in the past 24 hours stand at 2,259.
With these updates, Telangana has a total of 1,89,283 cases, of which 29,477 are active cases, 1,58,690 recovered/discharged and 1,116 deceased.
Between the 27th and the 28th of September, as many as 54, 308 COVID-19 tests were conducted, taking the overall tally to 29, 40, 642 in Telangana.
In addition, the recovery rate from COVID-19 in Telangana is at 83.83 %.
