Telangana Records 2,256 New Cases Of COVID-19, Total Crosses 77k

The Telangana Medical department, on the night of the 7th of August, released a media bulletin regarding the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases.

According to the Telangana Health Department’s bulletin, 2,256 new cases with 14 new fatalities of the COVID-19 infection.

Of the total 2,207 cases, 26 from Adilabad, 79 from Bhadradri, 464 from areas under GHMC, 49 from Jagtial, 18 from Jangaon, 38 from Bhuplapally, 95 from Gadwal, 76 from Kamareddy, 101 from Karimnagar, 69 from Khammam, 45 from Mahabubnagar, 23 from Mahabubabad, 44 from Mancherial, 14 from Medak, 138 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 20 from Mulugu, 13 from Nagarkurnool, 61 from Nalgonda, nine from Narayanpet, 18 from Nirmal, 74 from Nizamabad, 84 from Peddapalli, 78 from Siricilla, 181 from Rangareddy, 92 from Sangareddy, 63 from Siddipet, 25 from Suryapet, 13 from Vikarabad, 19 from Wanaparthy, 16 from Warangal Rural, 187 from Warangal Urban and 24 from Yadadri Bhongir.

Till the 8th of August, this is the biggest spike with more than 2,000 cases for a second consecutive day. On the morning of the 7th of August, Telangana reported 2,207 new cases of the COVID-19 infection.

On the 8th of August, with 2,256 new cases, the total reached to 77,513 cases, with 14 new fatalities, the total stands at 615. In addition, with 1,091 recovery total recovered cases reported till date are 54,330.

With these updates, Telangana has 77,513 positive cases, of which 22,568 are active cases, 54,330 are recovered/discharged cases and 615 deceased.

Out of the 21,417 patients, 14,837 patients are under home isolation and 6,580 are in institutional care.

Meanwhile, the Telangana Health authorities conducted 23,322 tests till the night of the 7th of August.

Of the total 23,322 tests, 1,596 samples are pending.

So far, 5,66,984 samples have been tested for the Novel Coronavirus infection in Telangana.

With the everyday spike in the Novel Coronavirus cases, the recovery rate in Telangana is now reduced to 70.10 % from the previous 70.70 %.

In addition, mortality rate is 0.80% and growth rate to 2.90 %.
