In Telangana with 1,486 new Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases and 7 deaths, total reached 2,24,545.
Of the new 1,486 cases, the highest number of cases were registered from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) areas with 235 cases, followed by Ranga Reddy (112,) Medchal Malkajgiri (102,) Bhadradri Kothagudem (98,) Khammam (89,) Nalgonda (82) and Karimnagar (69.)
In addition to the new cases, as many as 7 people deceased and 1,891 people recovered from the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 infection.
The State Health Department said, between the 18th of October and the 19th of October, the health officials conducted 42,299 sample tests for COVID-19. The cumulative tests conducted in Telangana till date is 38,98,829.
With these updates, Telangana has 2,24,545, positive cases, of which 2,02,577 are recovered/discharged cases, 20,686 active cases and 1,282 deceased.
As many as 17,208 people are in the home or institutional isolation in the state.
According to sources, in Telangana 63.90 % of those tested positive are in the age group of 21 to 50 years, 22.91 % are above 51 years of age and 13.18 % are below 20 years.
In addition, the recovery rate of Telangana in terms of COVID-19 infection is at 90.21 %.
