The Telangana Health Department confirmed 2,012 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Of the 2,012 cases,The Covid-19 positive cases reported from all the districts include 15 from Adilabad, 52 from Bhadradri, 532 from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) 27 from Jagtial, 46 from Bupalapally, 48 from Gadwal, 75 from Kamareddy, 41 from Karimnagar, 97 from Khammam, 51 from Mahabubnagar, 36 from Mahabubabad, 1 from Mancherial, 21 from Medak, 198 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 18 from Mulugu, 19 from Nagarkurnool, 49 from Nalgonda, 4 from Narayanpet, 9 from Nirmal, 83 from Nizamabad, 41 from Peddapalli, 10 from Siricilla, 188 from Rangareddy, 89 from Sangareddy, 28 from Siddipet, 27 from Suryapet, 6 from Vikarabad, 20 from Wanaparthy, 28 from Warangal Rural, 127 from Warangal Urban and 26 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
Telangana reported 2,012 new Covid-19 infections and 13 fatalities till the 5th of August.
With this number of positive cases in the State increased to 70,958, 19,568 are active cases, 50,184 are recovered/discharged cases and 576 deceased. A total of 1,139 persons recovered in the last 24 hours.
The State conducted 21,118 sample tests in the past 24 hours. With this, the total sample tests till date to 5,22,143. Of the total 1,167 sample tests are awaited.
Of the total active cases, 12,938 persons are under home isolation and the remaining 6,630 positive cases are in institutional care.
With the everyday spike in the Novel Coronavirus cases, the recovery rate in Telangana is now 71.17 % from the previous 71.80 %. In addition, mortality rate is 0.80% and growth rate 3.10 %.
