The Telangana Health Department confirmed 2,083 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Of the 2,083 cases, 17 were from Adilabad, 35 from Bhadradri, 578 from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) 21 Jagtial, Jangaon (21,) Bhuplapally (24,) Gadwal (35,) Kamareddy (18,) Karimnagar (108,) Khammam (32,) Komarambheem Asifabad (8,) Mahabubnagar (31,) Mahabubabad (40,) Mancherial (37,) Medak (16,) Medchal Malkajgiri (197,) Mulugu (19,) Nagarkurnool (18,) Nalgonda (48,) Narayanpet (9,) Nirmal (25,) Nizamabad (73,) Peddapalli (42,) Siricilla (39,) Rangareddy (228,) Sangareddy (101,) Siddipet (16,) Suryapet (34,) Vikarabad (21,) Wanaparthy (9,) Warangal Rural (39,) Warangal Urban (134) and 10 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
According to the media bulletin, with 2,083 cases the total positive cases stand at 64,786 and with 11 new fatalities the death toll is 530.
For the second consecutive day, the State also managed to conduct more than 20,000 sample tests. In the past 24 hours, the State conducted 21,011 COVID-19 sample tests, taking total tests till date to 4,58,593. Of the total 21,011 results of 886 sample tests are awaited.
With these updates, Telangana has 64,786 positive cases, 46,502 recovered/discharged cases and 17,764 are active cases.
Of the total active cases, 11,359 persons are under home isolation while 6,395 positive cases are in institutional care.
With the everyday spike in the Novel Coronavirus cases, the recovery rate in Telangana reduced to 71.80 % from the previous 72.40 %. In addition, mortality rate is 0.80% and growth rate 2.80 %.
