Telangana Reports Highest 10,000 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Cases Cross 4.11 Lakhs

The Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 positive cases are rising rapidly in Telangana. In the past 24 hours, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government confirmed 10,122 new positive cases, taking the total tally to 4,11,905.

Of the new cases, the highest number of cases were reported from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) with 1,440 cases, followed by 751 from Medchal-Malkajgiri, 653 from Warangal Urban, 621 from Rangareddy, 498 from Nizamabad, 469 from Nalgonda, 424 from Khammam, 417 from Mahabubnagar, 369 from Karimnagar, 303 from Suryapet and 262 from Sangareddy.

The remaining cases were 279 from Kamareddy, 278 from Yadadri-Bhongir, 257 from Nagar Kurnool, 229 from Medak, 230 from Siddipet, 225 from Rajanna Sircilla, 202 from Mahabubabad,195 from Mancherial, 174 from Bhadradri-Kothagudem, 169 from Peddapalli, 160 from Jangaon, 157 from Wanaparthy, 140 from Adilabad, 129 from Nirmal,129 from Vikarabad, 101 from Komaram Bheem Asifabad, 79 from Mulugu, 38 from Narayanpet and 31 from Bhupalpally.

Besides 10,122 new cases, the State reported 6,446 recoveries and 52 deaths from COVID-19. The updated figures were confirmed by the State Health Department through a media bulletin, which releases regularly. The bulletin is released every day at 8:00 P.M., to update about the Novel Coronavirus situation in the State.

With this, currently, Telangana has 4,11,905 positive cases, of which 69,221 are active cases, 3,40,590 are recovered/discharged cases and 2,094 deaths.

With the newly registered cases, the total number of cases in the state has reached 4,11,905. So far 3,40,590 people have recovered from corona infection. In addition, the Medical Department of Telangana conducted 99,638 tests for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

In addition, Telangana has a recovery rate of 82.68% from the previous 83 %.

With the rapidly increasing number of cases, the State Health Department urged people to be more cautious. The State Health Minister Eatala Rajender and the State Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao said, the State is witnessing the second wave of the Novel Coronavirus. They urged people to stay safe and stay home to avoid any kind of contraction with the virus.  

Meanwhile, the State is also having a night curfew till the 30th of April.
