On Friday, the 22nd of October, Telangana reported 193 new cases with one death and 196 recoveries. The new cases were confirmed by conducting 42,367 sample tests for COVID-19, of which 193 came positive for COVID-19.
In the past one week, the State Health Department conducted more than 40,000 tests for COVID-19. With this, the State Health Department crossed 2.72 crore COVID-19 tests till date.
The aforementioned data was confirmed through a health bulletin, released by the Telangana Health Department, on a regular basis. The media bulletin of the State Health Department which is being released in the evenings regularly, updates about the COVID-19 situation in Telangana.
According to the COVID-19 data, despite the low number of cases, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) region reported 64, the highest number of the Wuhan virus cases. Of all the districts, the GHMC limit is the only region with more than 50 new Wuhan virus cases.
With this, Telangana now has 6,69,932 positive cases, of which 3,963 are active cases, 6,62,025 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,944 are deceased. The recovery rate of Telangana is now at 98.81 % and the fatality rate of COVID-19 remained constant for the past four months at 0.58 %.
