Donald Trump, the President of the United States of America (U.S.A.,) and first lady Melania tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19. 

The results of Mr. Trump and the First Lady took the COVID-19 test on the 1st of October.

Mr. Trump took the test after one of the close aides of Donald Trump Hope Hicks tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus.

Donald Trump, the President of the United States of America (U.S.A.,) and the First Lady are under self quarantine.

Mr. Trump, on the evening of the 1st of October, took to his official Twitter handle and said, “Hope Hicks, who has been working so hard without even taking a small break, has just tested positive for Covid-19. Terrible! The First Lady and I are waiting for our test results. In the meantime, we will begin our quarantine process!”

Later on the 2nd of October at 10:24 A.M., Donald Trump said, “Trump announced his health status on Twitter. “Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!.”

Mr. Trump had a packed schedule for the day including a private fund-raiser at the Trump International Hotel in Washington. This is a campaign rally in Florida and a call with “vulnerable seniors” about the disease.

However, now Donald Trump need to quarantine himself and cancel all his meetings and campaign rally for the upcoming elections.

The elections for the U.S.A., Presidential post is scheduled to be held on the 3rd of November.

The infection at a time when elections are near, Donald Trump’s ability to campaign in person for the presidential elections would be impacted.

Meanwhile, speaking about the health condition of Mr. Trump and First Lady Melania, the president’s physician Sean Conley said Donald Trump and Melania “are both well at this time, and they plan to remain at home within the White House during their convalescence.”

Dr. Conley further said, “Rest assured, I expect the President to continue carrying out his duties without disruption while recovering.”

The coronavirus pandemic has killed more than 200,000 Americans and more than one million people worldwide

In addition, the U.S.A., is the first worst COVID-19 hit nation with more than 7 million cases.

The U.S.A., has 7,494,671 positive cases, of which 2,545,390 are active cases 4,736,621 are recovered/discharged and 2,12,660 are deceased till date.
