Donald Trump, the President of the United States of America (U.S.A.,) is under self quarantine.
Mr. Trump, on the evening of the 1st of October, took to his official Twitter handle and said, “Hope Hicks, who has been working so hard without even taking a small break, has just tested positive for Covid-19. Terrible! The First Lady and I are waiting for our test results. In the meantime, we will begin our quarantine process!”
However, the duration of self isolation is not yet clear.
Ms. Hicks is one of the close aides and the advisor of Donald Trump. She tested positive for the deadly Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 on the 1st of October.
A day ahead of Ms. Hicks testing COVID-19 positive, she attended a rally with Donald Trump.
In the past week also, Hope Hicks, 31, has travelled with the president, including on the presidential helicopter Marine One, and on Air Force One.
Judd Deere, the White House Spokesman, said, “The president takes the health and safety of himself and everyone who works in support of him and the American people very seriously.” He further added, “White House Operations collaborates with the physician to the president and the White House Military Office to ensure all plans and procedures incorporate current CDC guidance and best practices for limiting COVID-19 exposure to the greatest extent possible both on complex and when the president is travelling.”
The coronavirus pandemic has killed more than 200,000 Americans and more than one million people worldwide.
In addition, the U.S.A., is the first worst COVID-19 hit nation with more than 7 million cases.
The U.S.A., has 7,494,671 positive cases, of which 2,545,390 are active cases 4,736,621 are recovered/discharged and 2,12,660 are deceased till date.
