On Saturday, in Rampur sector, four terrorists were killed by the Army in Jammu and Kashmir after foiling the infiltration bid.
Search operations have been initiated to figure out no other terrorists are hiding in the area.
An Army spokesperson, Col. Rajesh Kalia, speaking to a news agency said troops noticed suspicious movement along the Line of Control (LoC) in the early hours. A firefight broke out between the infiltrators and the Army resulting in the death of four. This incident occurred in the Baramulla area at the Line of Control (LoC.) This was initiated after the Army received a tip off stating the hideout of at least three militants.

On Friday, the Pakistan Border Action Team (BAT) planned an attack which was foiled by the Indian Army who was on patrol at the LoC in Uri sector of Kashmir. Two militants were killed in the gunfight that ensued. The Army had increased patrols and vigilance after two Indian soldiers were beheaded in BAT action in Krishnaghati sector of Poonch on May 1. This attack invoked a strong response from the Indian Army.

The Army, on Tuesday, said that it launched ‘punitive fire assaults’ on Pakistan camps across the LoC, which inflicted ‘some damage.’
