Bollywood stars have made enough money for a lifetime, while some splurge it on their own families some decide to make their own family through adoption. Many Bollywood stars decided to give the underprivileged children a chance at a family. Here are the Bollywood celebrities that adopted children.

1. Sunny Leone: The newest member of the list is nonother than Sunny Leone. Along with her husband, Daniel Weber, the couple adopted a 21 month old girl from Latur, Maharashtra. The couple has named the new addition to their family, Nisha Kaur Weber.

2. Sushmita Sen: Sushmita Sen has always been an empowered woman and she proved it even more as she adopted and became a single mother. Sushmita adopted two girls and became a proud mother. Her first daughter Renee, she adopted when she was just 25 and then 9 years later adopted Alisah. Susmita has tattooed the girl’s names on her wrist.

3. Ravina Tondon: At just the age of 21, Ravina became a mother after adopting two girls, Pooja and Chhaya in 1995. After this, she went on to marry Anil Thadani and had two of her own children. But till date, the actress treats all of them with the same love and care.

4. Salim Khan: Highly acclaimed writer and the father of Salman Khan, Salim Khan has also adopted a baby. Salim along with his second wife Helen adopted Arpita Khan.

5. Mithoon Chakravarty: Mithoon is known for his generous behavior and he made his biggest contribution to humanity when he adopted a girl he found in a dustbin. He named her Dishani, and even though he has three sons, Dishani is the most pampered child.

6. Kunal Kohli: Film critic turned director Kunal Kohli struggled with his wife Ravina Kohli to adopt a baby. The adoption process was particularly unlucky for the couple but the struggle was successful and they brought their adopted baby home and named her Radha Kohli.

7. Subhash Ghai: Director Subhash Ghai is also one of the celebrities that decided to adopt. Subhash adopted his younger brother Ashok Ghai’s daughter Meghna. Subhash has his own daughter, Muskaan with his wife Mukta Ghai. His adopted daughter is now in charge of Ghai’s film institute, Whistling Woods International. Meghana handles the Institute along with her husband, Rahul Puri.

8. Rahul Bose: Rahul Bose is known for his eccentric roles in classic films. He went a step ahead and didn’t just adopt one but six children from Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Rahul even has a charity organization that is run on the island.

9. Nikhil Advani: Director of Kal Ho Na Ho, Nikhil Advani adopted a girl along with his wife Suporna. She was named Keya in December 2006. The director considers his film Salaam-e-Ishq as one of his most important films for the simple reason his daughter Keya was adopted during the shooting of the movie.

10. Dibakar Banerjee: The director that came out with fabulous films like Oye Lucky Lucky Oye and Khosla Ka Ghosla also acquired a spot on this list in 2010. He and his wife, Richa Puranesh adopted a girl from a Mumbai orphanage in 2010 and named her Ira.
