Baahubali: The Beginning, Director S.S. Rajamouli tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 infection. 

On the 29th of July, Mr. Rajamouli took to Twitter and said he and  his family members have tested positive for the deadly COVID-19 infection.

In a tweet, S.S. Rajamouli said, “My family members and I developed a slight fever few days ago. It subsided by itself but we got tested nevertheless. The result has shown a mild COVID positive today. We have home quarantined as prescribed by the doctors (sic.)”

In another tweet, the Baahubali director said, “Just waiting to develop antibodies so that we can donate our plasma.”

Before the nationwide lockdown was announced, S.S. Rajamouli was working on a big project featuring stars like Ram Charan, Alia Bhat, Ajay Devgn and NTR Junior. 

The movie Rise Roar Revolt (RRR) would also feature international actors like Ray Stevenson, Olivia Morris and Allison Doody. 

The plot of RRR revolves around the story of freedom fighters Alluri Seetharamaraju and Komaram Bheem, who fought against the British Raj and the Nizam of Hyderabad. 

The movie is expected to release in 2021.  However, an official release date is yet to be announced.

Meanwhile,  S.S. Rajamouli and his family members are under home quarantine.
