BO Report: Rajinikanth’s “Kabali” Earns Rs 300 Cr In 7 Days

Chennai: Opened to packed houses on July 22, the recent offering “Kabali” of super star Rajinikanth is riding high at the ticket windows with good reviews. Starring Rajinikanth and Radhika Apte in the leads, the film created incredible hype in the country and abroad as well even before the release. After hitting the silver screens, the movie is running successfully in theatres.

“Kabali” managed to collect Rs 300 crore at the ticket windows in just 7 days of the release. Film trade analyst Ramesh B says that the film earned Rs 142.5 crore net and Rs 166.5 crore gross. The flick crossed Rs 250 crore worldwide. Interestingly, even before the release, the movie earned Rs 200 crore with the sale of music rights and others.

Written and directed by Pa. Ranjith, “Kabali” features Rajini as an ageing don of Malaysia and Radhika Apte playing his wife.
