The Dubai Police cleared the release of megastar Sridevi’s body for the embalming process. The family has been waiting for two days to claim the body but due to the forensic report, it was delayed. The report showed accidental drowning as the reason for the actress’ demise.
The body will leave from Dubai at 6:30 IST via a chartered plane. On Monday industrialist Anil Ambani sent his chartered plane to help the family bring Sridevi’s body to India. The funeral is expected to happen on Wednesday at Pawan Hans in Mumbai.
The Dubai Police investigated the case after the forensic report was released. The police questioned the family and hotel staff and verified Sridevi’s call log. The Dubai Public Prosecution has closed the case and approved the demise was due to drowning. They also ruled out any foul play and stated it as an accident.
Sridevi passed away on Saturday night in Dubai. Her husband Boney Kapoor found Sridevi unconscious in the bathtub. The actress was freshening up to go to dinner with her family. The actress was in Dubai with her husband and daughter Khushi to attend a family wedding.
