The Burj Khalifa in Dubai was lit up with lights and posters of the much awaited film 2.0 on Friday evening. The filmmakers decided to make the audio launch a grand affair in Dubai.
The entire cast of the film arrived in Dubai on Thursday and conducted a press meet leading up to the audio launch. Director of the film Shankar, Composer A.R. Rahman, stars Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson were all present for the grand event.
This event had skydivers holding up posters of 2.0 filling up the sky above Palm Jumeira. The audio launch released two songs from the Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions of the film.
Akshay Kumar who plays the villain and Amy Jackson who acts as a droid in the film, both put up spectacular performances before the launch.
The event was held at Burj Khalifa by Lyca Productions on a Rs. 2 crores budget. Apart from being the second most expensive film in Asia, 2.0 is also the first Indian film to be shot in 3D.
The date of release for 2.0 has been set on 25th January 2018.
