Highlights Of Oscars 2020 – South Korean Movie Parasite Bags 3 Top Awards

The 92nd Academy Awards (Oscars 2020) was held on the night of the 9th of February. The award ceremony was organised at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, United States of America (U.S.A.)

The three hour long ceremony, one of the biggest awards nights in Hollywood, proved to be a night of triumph for various artists, directors and members of the film fraternity..

This year, the major highlight of the Oscars was the winner of the Best Picture 2019—Parasite. The South Korean film bagged the award for best non english movie at the Oscars 2020. Bong Joon Ho won the Best Director award for Parasite.

Parasite made history by being the first foreign language movie to win the top award of Best Picture at the Academy Awards.

During the event, when Bong Joon Ho delivered his speech, he said, “A very opportune moment in history is happening now.” Parasite also won the awards for Best International Feature Film and Best Original Screenplay. A very happy Bong Joon Ho said, “After winning Best International Feature, I thought I was done for the day and was ready to relax!”

Besides this, the ceremony was memorable for Joaquin Phoenix as he took away the Best Actor award for his performance in Joker. Renée Zellweger won the Best Actress award for Judy.
