To overcome the Hyderabad floods and to extend a helping hand in the relief measures, many celebrities, chief ministers of various states and Tollywood actors, directors and producers donated money to the CM Relief Fund.
Since the past few days, “the City of Nawabs, “Hyderabad, and many other districts of Telangana, recorded heavy rainfall claiming 50 lives and thousands of livelihoods.
To continue the rescue operations and speed up the relief work, the Telangana Government released a financial package of Rs. 550 crores.
Recently Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, donated an amount of Rs.15 crores to the Telangana Government.
In addition, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K. Palaniswami donated an amount of Rs. 10 crores to the Telangana Government.
After political leaders and chief ministers, celebrities also extended financial support to the State Government.
Megastar Chiranheevi donated Rs. 1 crore and tweeted, “The unprecedented rains in Hyd have caused massive devastation,loss of lives & extreme hardship to thousands. My heart goes out to those affected by nature’s fury. I’m humbly donating Rs.1Cr to CM Relief Fund. Also appeal 2 all who can to come forward & help the needy. @TelanganaCMO.”
Another actor Jr. N.T. Rama Rao, contributed Rs. 50 lakhs and said, “Many lives in Hyderabad have been devastated by the rains and floods. I am contributing 50 Lakh Rupees to the Telangana CM Relief Fund towards the rehabilitation of our city. Let us all chip in and rebuild our Hyderabad #TelanganaCMO.”
Mahesh Babu, the Tollywood actor also donated Rs. 1 crore and said, “The devastation caused by the unprecedented rainfall in Telangana is far worse than we ever imagined. Appreciate the efforts of the Telangana government and the Disaster Response Force for doing their best to help the affected families. Contributing ₹1 crore towards the CM relief fund of Telangana. I urge all of you to come forward and donate towards the cause. Let’s stand by our @TelanganaCMO @KTRTRS.”
Arjun Reddy fame Vijay Devarakonda also donated an amount of Rs. 10 lakhs. He said, “We came together for Kerala. We came together for Chennai. We came together for the Army. We came together in huge numbers for each other during Corona. This time our city and our people need a helping hand. Its been a hard year on all of us, but those of us who are doing decently well, let’s pool in some money to help those who are not – Let’s do it one more time for our own. BToday I am donating 10 Lakhs to the CMRF.”
Other actors like Nagarjuna Akkineni, Haarika and Hassine Creations and many other celebrities donated money to help Hyderabad and Telangana fight the flood situation.
The rescue operations and damage repair works are underway in the State.
