Hyderabad: The much-talked-about upcoming film “Dongata”, starring Lakshmi Manchu in a lead role, is all set to begin in theatres on May 8. The movie stars Adivi Sesh, Brahmanandam and Prabhakar in prominent roles.
Vamsi Krishna directed the film, which is a con-drama. In an interview, the director said that the Lakshmi has attempted something very few have done before. He added that she lived in the character as herself.
“Dongata” is centered around three guys, who kidnap Lakshmi and the events that follow between them.
The film launched Lakshmi in her singing debut. She crooned the song titled “Yendiroo”, which bagged incredible response from the audience. Music director Raghu Kunche composed tunes to the crime comedy. Recently, the film completed its censor formalities and received U/A Certificate.
Tollywood lead actors Nagarjuna, Ravi Teja, Rana Daggubati, Manoj, Navdeep, Sushanth and others sizzled in a special song, which is expected to set silver screens ablaze.
