Days ahead of the Movie Artist Association (MAA) elections, Tollywood actress Ms. Hema filed a complaint against Mr. Vijaya Krishna Naresh and Ms. Karate Kalyani
On the 6th of October, Wednesday, Ms. Hema wrote a letter to Mr. Krishna Mohan, the MAA Election Officer, regarding the same. According to the letter, Ms. Hema alleged the two Tollywood actors and candidate of the MAA election of making derogatory comments against her.
She said, both Mr. Vijaya Krishna Naresh and Ms. Karate Kalyani released a video on social media, with some inappropriate, objectionable comments against him.
As evidence, Ms. Hema shared the social media video link with Mr. Krishna Mohan. In her letter, Ms. Hema demanded the MAA Election Official to bar Mr. Vijaya Naresh and Ms. Karate Kalyani from casting their vote in MAA elections.
The MAA elections are one of the major elections in the Tollywood film industry. The elections for the prestigious MAA is organised every year. The President of the MAA is appointed every year to work for the welfare of the Tollywood artists. The elections are scheduled in September every year for the position of president of the MAA.
The fever of MAA elections in Tollywood industry is no less than the Legislative and Assembly elections. Many senior actors and celebrities contest in the election aiming to become the president. Initially, Murali Mohan was the president of MAA, after he stepped down from the post, Rajendra Prasad took the reins. After him, Sivaji Raj became the president and now Naresh is the outgoing leader of the Movie Artist Association. Naresh V.K., who was appointed as the MAA President in 2019.
This year, Tollywood actor Prakash Raj is aiming for the President post of MAA.
The MAA election is scheduled to be held on the 10th of October.
