The arrest of Aryan Khan, Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son, has now gained political attention.
On the 6th of October, Wednesday, Mr. Nawab Mallik, Maharashtra Cabinet Minister, commented about Aryan Khan’s arrest. He claimed the matter to be a forgery to target Bollywood celebrity Mr. Shah Rukh Khan.
Mr. Nawab Malik who is following Aryan Khan’s drug case closely alleged the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) behind the raid and alleged the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to have conducted a fake raid to frame Bollywood celebrities. In a tweet posted today, the 7th of October, Mr. Nawab Malik of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) said, “Sameer Wankhede’s statement where he said 8 to 10 people have been arrested by the NCB, while 8 people were arrested.
Why was he not sure about the number of arrests?
Did they have an intention to frame 2 more people?”
Mr. Nawab Malik also asked why Manish Bhanushali, a BJP leader, is visiting the NCB office, if not related to the case in any way. He took to the micro blogging site, Twitter and posted a video, which spotted Mr. Manish Bhanushali outside the NCB office, after the arrest of Aryan Khan. He said, “The person taking him (Aryan Khan) to the office is a BJP leader Manish Bhanushali.”
Mr. Nawab Malik even addressed the media and spoke his point of view regarding the case. He said, “Aryan Khan’s arrest is a forgery. For the last one month, information was being circulated to crime reporters that the next target is actor Shah Rukh Khan.” He further said, “Not even one gram of drug was seized on the cruise, not even on the terminal. The drug was not even found with any one of the accused. Whatever the video of the sample has been shared by the NCB, it has been made in the Zonal Director’s office which is against the procedure of seizure.”
Recently, on the 3rd of October, Aryan Khan, 23 years old, was arrested by the NCB officials for his involvement in a drugs related case. Aryan Khan was arrested with seven others during a raid at a cruise party, where drugs were available and consumed. The raid started at 10 A.M., on Sunday night and continued till 2:00 P.M. After the intensified search, the anti drug agency found Aryan Khan was involved.
Aryan Khan has been booked under Sections 27 (punishment for consumption of any narcotic drug or psychotropic substance), 8C (produce, manufacture, possess, sell or purchase of drugs) and other relevant provisions of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS.)
As of now, Aryan Khan and three others are under the NCB custody till today, the 7th of October.
The matter is still under investigation.
