Caught up in the controversy of surrogacy, the recently became parents Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan shared a cryptic post on Instagram.
Days after announcing their twins, said to be via surrogacy, Vignesh Shivan posted, “Pay attention to people that care. Who are always there. Who wants better for you. They are your people.” In another post, Vignesh Shivan said, “Everything comes to you at the right time. Be patient. Be grateful.”
Notably, after the arrival of their twins, named Uyir (life) and Ulagam (world), the couple received congratulatory messages on becoming parents to two boys. However, a section of social media users took a dig at the recently wed couple and questioned surrogacy, which is illegal in India since January 2022.
In addition, Mr. M.A. Subramanian, the Tamil Nadu Health Minister also reacted to this saying the M.K. Stalin led State Government would seek an explanation from the couple in the matter.
Furthermore, although Vignesh Shivan shared a cryptic post, which is said to be regarding the surrogacy controversy, an official statement on the matter is yet to come.
On the 9th of October, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan, who wed on the 9th of June 2022, announced the arrival of their twins via surrogacy. The couple has been blessed with two baby boys, whom they have named Uyir and Ulagam.
Vignesh Shivan announced the news on Instagram, writing, “Nayan & I have become Amma and Appa… We have two healthy baby boys as a blessing.”
The Instagram post read, “All Our prayers, the blessings of our ancestors united with all the wonderful manifestations created, have come together in the form Of 2 blessed kids for us Need all ur blessings.
The post was shared with stunning images of Vignesh and Nayanthara kissing the small feet of their new born babies.
