Mumbai: It is confirmed! Mani Ratnam’s magical hit “OK Kanmani” is set for an official remake in Hindi. Ace filmmaker Karan Johar announced the news today. “Ashiqui 2” couple Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor will be seen playing the romantic lead roles in the remake of love story.
Karan took to Twitter and posted, “Honored to collaborate with Mani Ratnam on the recreation of his labour of love….directed by Shaad Ali…[email protected] coming up!”
“Mani Ratnam…Gulzarsaab…AR Rahman…Shaad and us present ADITYA ROY KAPUR and SHRADDHA KAPOOR in the official recreation of #okkanmani.”
Directed by Shaad Ali, the movie is yet to be titled. O Kadhal Kanmani is a blockbuster hit in both Tamil and Telugu industries. Director Mani Ratnam directed the love story. AR Rahman scored tunes to the film, which stars Dulquer Salman and Nithya Menen in lead roles.
